The French company "Schneider Electric" deals with the development of technologies for energy management. The company started its activity in Bulgaria in 2007. and the same year won the Bulgarian Investment Agency. Two years later, "Schneider Electric" receives award "Employer of the Year" contest of Huit.
In the manufacturing base in Plovdiv employs over 1000 people and the products are quoted in over 100 countries worldwide. This year the company plans to open Academy of specialists in Bulgaria. The aim is to enable the training and retraining of hiliyadi people in the country. The Academy is aimed at people who have graduated from technical universities and want to upgrade their skills and knowledge.
Even at its launch, "Schneider Electric" began collaborating with the Technical University of Varna, Sofia and Plovdiv. With this activity and the opening of the Academy, the company hopes that more young people will remain in the country to develop.
Minister of economy, Theodore Saddlery says that "such businesses manage to create a network of local suppliers, namely that form the backbone of the economy in Bulgaria."
So far the company has always worked in regions with high unemployment and thus able to support the opening of new jobs.
