A Vidin tailoring company also feels the acute need for footage. It has opened 500 new jobs but can not find suitable candidates. At the moment, there are 110 people working in sewing men's shirts.
There is extremely high unemployment in this region, well above the country average. Bulgaria, however, is renowned for the low wages in this industry, although the company offers good working conditions.
The company is German and employers say that a nursery will be opened next month. So workers will have places to leave their children in the summer, and they will be much more relaxed.
Faith Maneva, General Manager, says the company will grant bonuses if certain results are achieved. Employees in the enterprise are missing because of the conviction that wages are low.
The municipality also wants to help and thinks about introducing dual training to help recruit staff.
